Application & Function of Polyethylene glycol
1, polyethylene glycol series products can be used in pharmaceutical.Low relative molecular weight of polyethylene glycol (PEG) can be used as a solvent, cosolvent, o/w emulsifier and stabilizer, suspension, emulsion, used to make cement injection, etc., are also used as a water-soluble ointment and suppository matrix, the matrix of high relative molecular weight solid waxy polyethylene glycol (PEG) is often used to increase the PEG viscosity and low molecular weight liquid to solid, and of other drugs;PEG4000, PEG6000 are good coating materials, hydrophilic polishing materials, film and capsule materials, plasticizer, lubricant and dropping pill matrix, used for preparing tablets, pills, capsules, microcapsules, etc.
